Day dunnohowmany: Estella - Los Arcos

So got up early enough again today and walked through fields and hills, it was beautiful as ever. It started raining around 11 am but it was not too bad, i could think under the hood as well :) I got company every now and then and had time for myself too.

I never wrote it down, how the day is divided into 2 equally good parts: the morning is about walking in peace and quiet (well, there are so many pilgrims, it's not that peaceful but it's ok, you can still have your privacy), surrounded by the fantastic scenery, meeting people or thinking in yourself, going through beautiful villages (typical Spanish little stone streets and buildings), stopping for a coffe or food or both, resting and going again.
Then you arrive at your destination (which in itself is a reward, to reach your goal every day, literally) and the second part starts: take a cold / hot shower, depending on what you need (so far there was hot water everywhere), wash the stinky socks, hang the laundry, write your journal (most people do that too), treat your feet and legs well, thank them for helping you :), get food either from the shop or in a restaurant (i haven't been to any restaurants so far), chat with others or just take it easy, read, whatever you feel like.
Then the last part of the day is not always brilliant: you can either sleep or not. Yesterday in the room of 16 people there were only 2 loud people: the guy on my right was snoring like mad and the guy on my left was farting like mad. Of course :) But it's ok, i didn't think this little sleep is enough. And of course the Italians are loud as long as and as soon as they are awake :)

And the highlight of my today: a WINE FOUNTAIN!! Yes, a tap with wine instead of water :) The monastery of Irache is so kind that they want to sedate all the pilgrims and get them to forget their pain - muchas gracias :) And the wine is soooo good, tasty red wine it is :) I wish i could upload pictures! Maybe in another place, soon...
