Szeles, kovezett ut vezet a folyo mellett (Arga folyo, toled jobbra), majd at a hidon be Huartebe. 2,5 km.
Menj egyenesen a szuk fouton egesz a templomig.

-------------------------------------------------

This is information for you in case you go to Huarte for whatever reason (the third day is early enough, a lot of people have pains and blisters and don't want to climb up the last hill if there is another option...).

So you come walking on the main road and you see a little BBQ field. This is where the way starts uphill to Arre and there are yellow arrows on the ground saying Huarte. You follow them, walk on a broad, paved road next to the Arga river (to your right) and you cross over the bridge where the arrows show. You arrived in Huarte, there is a sign saying Albergue to the right; follow that and go straight on the narrow main road. You go up to the church and turn left. There is a square next to the church and the albergue is diagonally on the other end of the square.

It's 6 euro (2010), internet is free, huge kitchen with plates, glasses, pots, even milk and biscuits! In Huarte, there is an Aldi and a shopping centre (I couldn't go in there though) so you can cook for cheap.

there is no restaurant with peregrino menu but the hospitalera can offer a restaurant, where you, as a pilgrim, can eat for 11 euro (same as in Zubiri) instead of 16 which is the normal price for the menu. I haven't opted for it, so can't say anything about the food.

  6. Dear Agi,

a very happy belated birthday, in case you couldn't check your mail!

This sounds all very good to me! I'm glad you're on the way and enjoying it so far and meeting so many nice people!

As for the knees: Give them a bit of rest. They need to come used to the walking; later, your body will be able to take much more without getting sore. Rather take it slow in the beginning than damage your knees so badly you will be forced to end your journey before the goal!

I think of you and wish you all the best for the rest of your pilgrimage! It's exciting to read about the places I heard of in that comedian's audio book, described by you, who's now there herself!

    Hugs and kisses,
    Julia from Germany
